Lots of things can be done for a postpartum massage. Whether you want a relaxation massage to get some rest or help with lingering pain. Massage can be a wonderful part of your healing journey!

  • Swedish massage helps reduce swelling, anxiety, and depression, can improve sleep, and encourage hormone regulation.

  • Studies show that massage increases Prolactin levels which is a lactation hormone. This is not a guarantee of increased milk supply, but some people may see a difference.

  • I can do Scar tissue work for cesarean scars and show you how to do it at home. (About 6 weeks postpartum, once your scar is healed.)

  • Abdominal massage can encourage the recentering of your organs (and emotions). If you are 2-3 weeks postpartum gentle abdominal massage can help encourage your Uterus to continue shrinking.

It takes about 2 years for your body to heal after pregnancy. Your body went through arguably the biggest change you will ever go through, give yourself grace and understand that healing takes time.

Many professionals specialize in prenatal and postpartum and can help you recover. Physical Therapy, Pelvic Floor Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Postpartum Doulas and so many more. Massage is wonderful but not the only tool to help you heal. Also, it's never too late to heal!
